Chileka police is keeping in custody a 35-year-old Tanzanian national for being found with illicit drug at Chileka International Airport.
Chileka airport police have identified the suspect as Hija Salehe Vesso who was nabbed on Monday, 26th March around 1335hrs.
According to reports, Vesso was in transit to Kenya from Tanzania via chileka airport and he wanted to board an Ethiopian airline at the said airport.
But upon reaching at security check point, an x-ray machine detected some substances in the bag that he was carrying and that prompted the officer operating the machine to demand to physically check the bag.
After checking, the officer found Apomorphine drug concealed at the bottom part of his bag and he was immediately arrested.
Meanwhile, Vesso is currently in custody waiting to appear in court as police finishes investigation into the matter.
