Well-known seasoned presenter, Geoffrey Kapusa has joined Times Group Limed barely months after being fired from state controlled Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC).
Kapusa was fired from MBC late last year for publicly questioning the propaganda programmes by the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) aired on MBC aimed at tarnishing the image of business tycoon Muhammad Sidik Mia and the main opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
Confirming of the development in a facebook post seen by faceofmalawi reporter Kapusa wrote: “Ready for Times Group”.
Barely a month after his firing Kapusa also secured a job with Mibawa Television and he thanked Wellington Kuntaja for the job.
“Great Lord. Am speechless of your love and care for me and my family. Thank you for the Job offer at Mibawa TV, the only Malawi tv soap producers of Mwachande and Ching’aning’ani.
“Thank you John Nthakomwa and family and also a special mention to Wellington Kuntaja for your great decision to have me. My God is an awesome God. All the time,” wrote Kapusa.
Kapusa will join his former workmate Albert Mungomo who was also fired at MBC for embezzling money.
