Former US president George WH Bush is reportedly hospitalized for an infection that spread to his blood a day after his wife of seven decades was laid to rest in Texas on Saturday.
Online reports say the 93-year-old ex-president was rushed to Houston Methodist Hospital on Sunday after complaining of not feeling good.
The former president was seen in a wheelchair during the late Barbara Bush’s funeral service which his son George W Bush – the 43rd US president also attended.
Bush, the country’s oldest living ex-president, served a single term in the Oval Office from 1989 through 1993.
He was admitted to the same hospital about a year ago for a cough that was later diagnosed as a mild case of pneumonia.
