Police on Tuesday used teargas to disperse angry students from Mwimba College of Agriculture in Kasungu who were protesting against some misconduct by a certain lecturer.
According to information at hand, a certain lecturer at the College was demanding sex from female students for them to be awarded good grades during exams.
The lecturer went further by threatening to expel any female students who refuse the offer.
It is said that the malpractice have been there for a while now and on Tuesday the students went on rampage after getting tired.
The students vandalized properties and other items and it took the intervention of the police calm down the situation at the College.
Mwimba College of Agriculture Principal William Chanache confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS), saying the College has been closed indefinitely.
When asked on the claims by the students Chanache refused to comment on the matter.
