Two Mozambican nationals have been arrested by Malawi police officers for stealing goods worth K5 million from Premier Bet Limbe branch.
Limbe police assistant public relations officer Patrick Mussa identified the two criminals who are from the same family as as Saulosi and Malunga Kanyanda who hail from Sambirabwa village in Traditional Authority Chinduwo in Mozambique.
Mussa reported that the incident happened on May 8 when the criminals broke into Premier Bet Offices in Limbe and stole K5 million cash, twelve laptops, computer monitors and other items.
They were arrested after CID officers from Limbe Police Station undertook an investigation.
Police only managed to recover three laptops and two monitors out of all the goods the criminals in accompany of their colleagues who are still at large stole.
They are to appear in court soon and answer charges of breaking into a building and committing a felony therein.
Meanwhile, police are continuing with an investigation to apprehend the other suspects who are still at large.
