Malawi’s gospel icon Favoured Martha has come out of her cocoon to trash her death rumours hovering on social media especially WhatsApp and facebook.
On Sunday night the social media was awash with rumours that Favoured Martha real name Martha Pingasa has died after a long illness.
The social media alleged that Pingasa has died of lung complications.
But speaking in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS), ‘Ondikonda Ndilinaye’ hit maker quashed the rumours, saying she is still alive.
“Ine sindinamwalire ndilimoyo ndipo sindikumwalila pompano. Ndinalidi mchipatala koma ndatuluka. Satana walephera. (Am still alive and am not dying soon. Yes I was in hospital and I was put on life supporting machine but fortunately I have been discharged from hospital. The devil has been proved wrong),” said Martha.
According to the artist, she was diagnosed with pneumonia but now she is fine.
She urged her fans to continue praying for her.
