Police in Dedza are keeping in custody a 39-year-old drug store owner for being found with government drugs illegally.
Dedza police deputy public relations officer Constable Cassim Manda identified the suspect as Mayisoni Bandawe.
According to Manda, the suspect was arrested after some well-wishers tipped the police that he was offering for sale government medical drugs in his shop.
Police acted on the tip and made an investigation that later led to the arrest of the culprit.
He was found with assorted drugs like, LA, DCN, Gentamicin, Bactrim, Aspirin, Albendazole and others.
Police have since seized the drugs as the suspect is in police custody waiting to appear in court.
