The leading Blanket Manufactures in the country Nu line Textile which is located at Maone Park in Limbe Blantyre has promised to empower the country economically by employing more Malawians to reduce high rate of unemployment.
Mytheen Sherif Company’s General Manager said the company has currently employed more than 200 Malawians workers to assist them and their families.
“Our target as nuline textile blanket manufacture is to empower local Malawians by employing all Malawians,” he said.
He was speaking during the Trade fair which was held from May 24 to 2 June at Chicihri Grounds where they showcase their brackets and explain to customers how blanket are being processed.
The company started its operations in 2005 and was incorporated in 2007 as a limited company since then the company has tremendously grown and it has the capacity to produce 50,000 to 100,000 pieces of blanket per month.
The company also just introduce new products on the market which are baby shawls and ladies scarves.
“Our wide range of products can also suit Hotels, NGO’, Disaster Management department, Hospitals, Prisons juts to mention but a few,” said Sherif.
“The companies and organizations can place orders at our factory and we can produce according to their requirements,” he said.
The company export their products to neighboring countries like Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe every year and they import their raw materials from India.
The main distributor is A.G Aboo and company in Limbe opposite Limbe Mosque and Bwalo la Njobvu in Lilongwe,
