Police in Luchenza are keeping in custody a 60-year-old man for being found with human bones which are believed to be of an albino.
Police have identified the suspect as Andrew Chaviwa who has been charged with an offence of being in possession of human body tissues of albino contrary to section 224(A) of the penal code.
Reports claim that police received a tip that there was someone who was offering for sale human bones to businessman at Chonde Trading Centre.
Upon acting on that information, officers were deployed to make follow up of the issue and fortunately found the suspect in possession of human bones alleged to be of an albino .
He was later brought before the charge office where he was detained and the bones which were wrapped in a sack have been seized.
Meanwhile, police are carrying on a further investigation into the matter as the suspect waits to appear In court.
He hails from Bololo village in the area of traditional authority Chikumbu in Mulanje.
