Late pop singer Michael Jacksonâs father has died at the age of 89 after a long battle with cancer.
Joe Jacksonâs death comes 9 years after his son who was also considered as king of pop music died on 25 June in 2019.
According to online reports, Jackson died yesterday morning in Los Angeles with his wife Katherine Jackson at his bedside.
TMZ reports that he had suffered health problems for many years, with trips to hospital in 2015 and 2016 for heart attacks and high fevers respectively.
Just two days ago, Joe sent his last tweet, featuring himself looking out across a sunset.
He captioned it: “I have seen more sunsets than I have left to see. The sun rises when the time comes and whether you like it or not the sun sets when the time comes.”
Jackson was one of the famous producers in America. He was the founder of a group called Jackson 5 â a group which launched Michael Jacksonâs career.
Jackson fathered ten children including Michael and also Janet Jackson, the American singer.
