As family of Chatchoka is still mourning the death of their daughter, Flora Chatchoka who was stabbed to death at Beibridge on Sunday 24th June 2018, police have managed to arrest one person who is being held in custody at Beibridge.

The name of the culprit has since been not revealed as a further investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Earlier reports indicated that on the day of the incident, Flora who is a business lady was on her way to South Africa through Mnorurama bus.

Upon reaching at border of South Africa, Beibridge, all passengers were asked to offload their belongings as always but it happened that Flora went out of the bus late when the rest of fellow passengers had already got off.

According to the source at the scene, someone followed her to the bus, he went straight to grab her bag and she tried to fight for it and the moment she screamed for help the thug stabbed her with a knife.

At this point she was overpowered and the thug went away with the bag which had R3000 supposed to be presented to Immigration and left her in a pool of blood.

Meanwhile, the bereaved family reported that Flora’s body will be buried today, Friday 29th June at Biwi Cemetery in Lilongwe.
