As police are still continuing with their investigations into the death of McDonald Masambuka who was an albino person, a 31-year-old blood brother to the deceased has been arrested over his involvement in the brutal murder of Masambuka.
Eastern police public relations officer Inspector Joseph Sauka has identified the suspect as Kasimu White Masambuka who had gone into hiding after the issue surfaced.
According to Inspector Sauka, the deceased’s brother was arrested on 28th June 2018 at Chiwalanga village, Traditional Authority Mandimba in Mozambique.
22-year-old Masambuka was found murdered after he went missing on 9th March, 2018 at Duwamakawa village, in the area of Traditional Authority Nkoola in Machinga district and his body was laid to rest on 2nd April, 2018.
Police’s investigation into the matter has seen a number of people being arrested which among them is a priest, medical personnel, police officers and now his own blood brother.
Meanwhile, the culprit is being kept in police custody pending further investigations.
