The Zomba Magistrate Court has committed the albino murder case of Macdonald Masambuka involving a Catholic Priest, a nurse and a police officer to the High Court, faceofmalawi can reveal.

Police this year arrested 23 people including a Catholic Priest father Thomas Muhosha from Zomba Diocese and so far 12 have been found with no case following police investigation and court ordered for the their release.

A week ago, the police also arrested Masambuka’s brother Cassim White in connection to the gruesome murder.

On Thursday last week, the case commenced at Zomba Magistrate Court and the presiding Magistrate referred the case to High Court considering the nature of the case.

Senior Resident Magistrate Paul Chiotcha in his ruling said the suspects will answer seven different charges including murder which is contrary to Section 209 of the penal code.

Masambuka’s murder attracted mixed reactions with many people questioning the involvement of a Catholic Priest, nurse identified as Luckiness Magombo and a law enforcer, Chikondi Chileka.

Meanwhile father Muotcha is on suspension pending the outcome of the case.
