Police in Phalombe district have launched an investigation that can lead to a discovery of 12-year-old boy with albinism who went missing on the day the country was celebrating its 54 years of independence, July 6.
Police in the district have identified the boy as Joseph Kachingwe.
According to reports, the boy had gone out in accompany of his friends to celebrate this years’ Independence Day but he did not return back home.
Fears that he had been kidnapped were brought in, prompting villagers to institute a search and also to report the matter to police station.
However, reports indicate that Joseph has since not been found till now.
This comes as 12 people have been remanded in prison pending their judgment in a case involving a Machinga albino man identified as McDonald Masambuka who was kidnapped before being brutally murdered.
