Judiciary support staffs have called off a national wide strike scheduled to commence today after the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) government under President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika approved the monthly salary hike as demanded.

The Judicial support staffs across the country were demanding a 27 percent pay hike to meet the high cost of living.

Spokesperson for the support staff Andrew Haliwa confirmed of the development in an interview with the press and he urged all workers across the country to report for duties.

According to Haliwa, government has approved the salary hike as demanded by the judicial support staff hence calling off the strike.
