Three people including a driver are feared dead in a fresh Lilongwe road accident involving a Toyota Hilux and Double Cabin belonging to TEVET.
The accident is said to have occurred this afternoon near Nsundwe Trading Centre along the Mchinji road.
According to reports, one of the vehicles was avoiding a cyclist and in the process collided with the other vehicle which was coming in front of it.
It has also been reported that pigs which were along the road got killed during the accident.
The casualties which have not yet been identified have been taken to St Gabriel Mission Hospital.
This comes just hours after another fatal road accident in Lilongwe town which has claimed the lives of three people.
Lilongwe Police spokesperson Kingsley Dandaula said the truck which was loaded with sand experienced brake failure and ended up hitting the victims around Lilongwe Old Town.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle has been arrested.
