Three people are reported dead after being hit by a truck loaded with sand in the capital Lilongwe, faceofmalawi can reveal.
Lilongwe Police Spokesperson Kingsley Dandaula confirmed of the accident in an interview with the press, saying the accident happened at Lilongwe’s old town.
“The brakes on the truck failed and left the driver with no control,” said Dandaula.
Dandaula said the police have arrested the driver of the lorry and is currently being kept at Lilongwe e will appear in court soon.
Meanwhile the remains of the three are at Kamuzu Central Hospital for postmortem.
