the first nabbed six suspects

This comes after police arrested other six suspects last Friday and also recovered a gun.

According to Chikwawa Police Station, Public Relations Officer, Constable Foster Benjamin, last Thursday night, the thugs stormed a businessman’s house identified as Kaunda Maguza where they demanded cash sourced from the day’s sales at his grocery shop.

Benjamin said at the time of incident, the thugs were armed with an AK 47 rifle replete with 4 live bullets and panga knives.

“The criminals went on beating Maguza and his wife in their foiled robbery, leading to the wife’s cries for help.

“The thugs took off as neighbours came out to the victims’ rescue,” said Benjamin.
