Former Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Vice President Richard Msowoya who is also Speaker of the National Assembly has officially announced that he has joined the United Transformation Movement (UTM led by State Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima.
Msowoya made the announcement in a statement posted on his official facebook page seen by faceofmalawi reporter.
“I hereby officially announce that I have joined the United Transformation Movement (UTM).
“My core values, experience in leadership and governance, and passion for service align well with the United Transformation Movement,” wrote Msowoya.
He added: “Together, let us change mindsets and challenge the status quo; empower our people; create future leaders and opportunities for change and development; reshape and manage policy; and dare to be different, as we propel Malawi towards economic liberation and revival. The time is now and together we can!”
He has since urged Malawians to patronize the launch of UTM scheduled for this coming Saturday at Masintha Ground in the capital Lilongwe
Msowoya dumped MCP last month.
