Malawi police have successfully managed to rescue a 21-year-old girl with albinism who went missing on Thursday in Blantyre.

Police have also arrested three yet to be identified people involved in the abduction of the girl who has been found in one house at Bvumbwe Trading Centre in Thyolo.

Chilenga Police officer in charge, Chrissy Mwale said the girl, Linda Mazanjo was being kept by a man who abducted her together with another 13-year-old girl without albinism.

President of Association of People with Albinism (APAM), Overstone Kondowe has commended the law enforcers for the work well done and pleaded with the authorities to speed up the process of prosecuting the culprits which are being kept in custody.
