He said those who wants to stand under the party’s ticket have been given chance to campaign and the party is not imposing anyone to the people.

He said those who want to stand should be real members of the party, not bankrupt with no criminal record.
Dausi said all regional governors for the party have been asked not to favor anyone.
On the same development Director for Elections for the party Ben Phiri they are developing calendars for the primaries so that those who aspire to stand under the party’s ticket should get to understand and know the parties strategies.

Phiri said women are also encouraged because the party believes in women empowerment saying that DPP is the only party that has a woman for the position of Secretary General adding that that is the reason why its president was chosen to be the chairman for He and She campaign.
