A 30-year-old man has landed in police custody after he called albino baby money.

Eastern Region police spokesperson Joseph Sauka identified the suspect as Thomas Abdul who committed the offence on August 22, 2018 in Zomba district.

According to Sauka, on the said day, the suspect met the a woman carrying one year old albino baby and told her that she was carrying millions of kwacha.

“This angered the woman and she reported the matter to Chingale police who arrested the suspect,” said Sauka.

Meanwhile, the suspect is expected to answer charges of conduct likely to cause the breach of peace contrary to section 181 of the penal code.

He comes from Kadewere village, T/A Mlumbe in Zomba.
