Malawi Council of Churches building sealed over unpaid city rates

Lilongwe City Council (LCC) has sealed Malawi Council of Churches (MCC) building where the Public Affairs Committee (PAC) is housed, over unpaid city rates amounting to K6 million.
MCC Secretary General, Bishop Gilford Matonga confirmed that the offices were sealed on Saturday.
LCC Spokesperson Tamara Chafunya also confirmed and added that the council has sealed a number of buildings over the weekend due to unpaid city rates.
