Blantyre South Councilor Mike Mambo has said he is optimistic to win in the forthcoming tripartite elections because of the development in his ward.

“There is no doubt that I will triumph in this coming tripartite elections because of my initiatives I have done so far.

Mambo said he has done a lot of projects like constructing bridges, Afforestation (planting tress in bare land) road network, sanitation, security, kiosks, constructing Secondary School blocks at Catholic Institute (CI) where there was no secondary school plus bringing streets light along Chikwawa road.

“As councilor of the area with funding from government International Development Fund (IDF) and city council we have built a bridge at Naperi which was constructed by Malawi Defence Force (MDF) and I promise to do more when elected again next year,” he said.

He said because of his initiative every year she used to send graders to upgrade the road which is in bad shape his ward.

I also help to pay school fees for six needy students in different secondary schools so that they should be educated and become better citizen in future.

“Using my personal resources I have done three quarters of my Manifesto I presented to people of my ward,” he said, adding that he initiated the rehabilitation of Jubilee Park and CI was in pathetic situation.
