The country’s well-known gospel singer Faith Che Muphuwa Mussa has been unveiled as “It takes Malawi to End Child Marriage” ambassadors in Lilongwe by World Vision.
Mussa was unveiled alongside seven other ambassadors namely; Senior Chief Kachindamoto of Dedza, Inkosi Gomani of Ntcheu, Inkosi ya Makosi M’mbelwa v of Mzimba, Inspector General of Police Rodney Jose, Reverend Vasco Kachipapa of Nkhoma CCAP synod, Senior Chief Bwananyambi of Mangochi and gospel singer Patience Namadingo.
In his acceptance speech, Mussa urged every Malawian to do all they can to fight child marriage.
“Let’s remember to work together. The victims are our relatives”, said Mussa before adding that “We can only succeed if we join our hands towards this noble cause”.
The “It take Malawi to End Child Marriage Campaign” which was officially launched in March 2018, comes from World Vision Global Campaign called”it takes a world to end violence against children’ which runs for five years between 2017 and 21.
