The launch of 2018-2022 strategic plan for Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (ADMARC) is expected to improve the operations of the organization.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for ADMARC Magret Loka Mawuwa said this during the launch of the strategic plan in Blantyre.

She said this because the organization has been operating without a strategic plan over the years.

“We are committed for the social economic development of this country to serve and inform stakeholders’ areas of focus,” she said.

The ADMARC CEO said extensive consultations were made among institutions and stakeholders to meet their aspirations.

Also speaking during the launch the Board Chairperson for ADMARC James Masumbu said the launch of the strategic plan means a lot to ADMARC saying in the in the last three years they have been consulting all relevant stakeholders so as to make sure that they become with a strategic plan that can help in the social development of this country.

Masumbu said that they are planning to buy as much as what is available on the market.

“We have to make sure that farmers produce because if they do not, we are going to have no markets. Both the Ministry of Agriculture and Government they have been always committed to support ADMARC.

ADMARC has registered 28 percent GDP, eighty percent over export and 64.1 percent total work force.
