Assistant manager at Price Water House Coopers (PWC) in Kenya who was earning a six figure salary has died after jumping off the company’s 17th floor offices in Nairobi last Friday.
Stephen Mumbo reportedly jumped off the building and was rushed to the hospital where he died upon arrival due to serious injuries.
“It is with great sadness that we confirm that there was a tragic incident at the PwC Kenya offices today (Friday) morning where we lost one of our colleagues, Stephen Mumbo. Steve fell off 17th floor early this morning. Investigations are ongoing by the relevant authorities,” PwC Regional Senior Partner Peter Ngahu said in a statement to newsrooms.
There hasn’t been a report indicating the real cause of the suicide but other unconfirmed reports state that Mr Mumbo committed the offence upon discovering that his wife was in a secret relationship with a university student.
It is said after knowing his wife’s affair, he went ahead to change his will and removed his wife name and included his parents and siblings in everything he owns including his flats.
He wrote a suicide letter addressed to his family explaining everything before he committed the suicide.
Meanwhile, police are still investigating the matter.
