Police in Eastern province have arrested 31 year old woman of Nthambo village in Nyimba district identified as Rebecca Daka for allegedly murdering a man who tried to propose love to her.
The deceased identified as Christopher Zulu aged 29 of the same address was on Sunday around 20:00hrs allegedly hit with a hoe handle after he picked up a quarrel with the woman Rebecca before she turned down the proposal.
Deputy Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said the body of the deceased is lying in Nyimba District Hospital awaiting postmortem.
Meanwhile a 35 year old woman of Western Province identified as Nomai Ngango has allegedly been murdered by her brother in law.
The suspect identified as Mwangu Mwiinga whose age is unknown alleged used a pounding stick when attacking the deceased on Monday around 01:00 hours.
And Hamoonga said the victim sustained two deep cuts on the head and that the body is lying in Kalabo District Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem.
