A 6 year old boy is reported dead in Ntcheu while the other one is battling for his life at the hospital after a cave of clay collapsed on them on Monday.
The incident happened in the area of Village Kalazi, Traditional Authority Njolomole in the district.
Ntcheu Deputy Police Spokesperson Sergeant Rabecca Kwisongole confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).
Kwisongole said the boys had gone to collect clay for toy molding.
Villagers were called to rescue but it was too late for the 6 year old.
Postmortem conducted at Ntcheu District Hospital revealed that the 6 year old boy died due to suffocation.
