Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Second Secretary General Salim Bagus has resigned from the party effective today, faceofmalawi can reveal.
Bagus confirmed of the development in a statement dated November 1, 2018 made available to faceofmalawi reporter.
According to Bagus, he has resigned on personal grounds.
“This is to inform all media houses that with effect from today I Salim Bagus have resigned from Malawi Congress Party (MCP) both as MCP 2nd Secretary General, MCP shadow MP from 2019 Chikwawa Central, MCP member; on my personal grounds,” reads in part the statement.
Meanwhile MCP is yet to comment on Bugus’ resignation.
