Burial of later Professor Mathews Chikaonda who once served as Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) Governor is currently underway at his home Village, Tembetembe, in Dedza District.
The body of Chikaonda arrived in the country on Sunday afternoon Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in the capital Lilongwe.
Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Samuel Tembenu is representing President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika at the funeral.
Chikaonda died on October 30 2018 in United States of America after a long illness.
