Mzuzu University (Mzuni) third year student Ellen Mkandawire has died in road accident at Munjiri in Mzimba, faceofmalawi can reveal.

This has been confirmed in a statement released on Monday by Mzuzu University Students Union President Limbani Chrispin Gama made available to faceofmalawi reporter.

According to Gama, Mkandawire was an ODL student pursuing the Bachelor of Science Education Program.

“It is with remorse and regret that i inform the student community of the death of our departed beloved Miss Ellen Mkandawire.

“She has died this afternoon at Munjiri in Mzimba on a road accident. She was in fact returning back to Mzimba after submitting her assignments at the ODeL center this morning,” said Gama.

He added: “The body of Miss Ellen Mkandawire is at Mzimba District Hospital Mortuary. The remains will be feried to Luwinga near SOBO on Tuesday at her parent’s place and burial is expected to be in Rumphi where she hails from.”
