MP Njikho elected as UTM Governor for the North

Member of Parliament for Mzuzu City Leonard Njikho has been elected as United Transformation Movement (UTM) Party governor for the North.

Njikho got 68 votes beating the interim Regional Governor Afiki Mbewe who managed 47 votes in an election that took place on Wednesday at St Peters Hall.

The development means Mbewe now act as Deputy Governor.

The new UTM Regional Committee for the North:

Regional Governor – Leonard Njikho MP

Regional Secretary – Jane Mbale

Regional Treasure – Lusubilo Kamwambi

Organising Secretary – Councillor Freza Chunga

Campaign Director – Spencer Mhone

Publicity Secretary – Chimwemwe Lupafya

Political Affairs – John Munthali.
