As most schools are about to close in readiness for Christmas and New Year’s holiday Jill Schools International is promising more exciting things both for both old and new learners that will join them in 2019.

Florence Mwatha Headmistress for the school said they are planning to improve in some areas especially fluent English speaking for the new learners.

“We receive learners from other schools that are not conversant in English, but we are still trying our best to make sure that they improve because we do not allow learners to speak any other language apart from English,” she said.

Mwatha said that they also want to improve on staff, stationery and everything saying that the school has grown tremendously beyond their expectation.

“When we relocated to this structure parents and teachers could not believe that we could have such a structure. There was a drop up of learners as a result of the movement because when you go to a new place everything is new,” she said.

Through perseverance we have managed to reach where we are now and we hope that the number of learners will increase next year because parents have been calling us to register their children with us, he said.

She further said that many teachers left them simply because they could not believe that they have such a beautiful structure but wherever they have gone there is good news for the school.

“The uniqueness of the school is the way our teachers teach because they are hardworking and qualified; we do not pick teachers on the streets. We offer Cambridge curriculum with three main subjects namely English, Science and Mathematics which we supplement with other subjects,” she said.

The school started on 9 September in 2013 with only five learners’ and is located at Wenela in Blantyre close to clock tower.
