KARONGA – A bus belonging to Matours bus company burnt to ashes on 6th December, 2018 in morning hours at Karonga bus deport. The bus was coming from Mzuzu.
The driver noticed smoke within the bus and ordered passengers to move out.
He manage to drive it out of the bus depot before the whole bus caught fire.
Cause of fire is not yet known, but all passengers luggage and other property within the deport was saved in time.
