Two personal aides to the Vice President Saulos Chilima who were detained yesterday and spent a night at Balaka hospital have been released on bail.

The two, Kushi Unyolo and Joshua Valera, have since been charged with conduct likely to cause breach of peace by the law enforcers.

National Police Publicist, James Kadadzera, confirmed that the two will be taken to court to answer the charge.

Unyolo and Valera were arrested at Chiyingeni Road Block following their suspicious conduct at the launch of Chiwanja Cha Ayao at Mangochi Turn off on Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, Vice Chairperson for Chiwanja cha Ayao, Japher Mussa, says the grouping is not happy with the arrest of the two who were scheduled to present a gift to Paramount Chief Kawinga.

Mussa, who is also a senior advisor for paramount Chief Kawinga said the group is still waiting for Chilima to present his gift to the Yao chief because the meeting was not political but cultural, hence everybody was welcome.
