A young entrepreneur by the name of Harvey Zimbulani has asked government to find international markets for Small Medium Enterprises (SME’s) as one way of solving the problem of unemployment among the youth in the country.
Zimbulani, 20, who works at Donz Engineering as a welder said they are failing to employ more people because they have low customers saying that if they can find other markets outside Malawi they can make more money and employ more people.
“Being a welder is it not a coincident to me because it is the career that l admire since l was born. Am urging my fellow youth to learn vocational skills because they will be able to do something that will help them to earn a living,” he said.
He has since promised their customers to expect things of high, professional and quality standards from Donz Engineering this year.
Zimbulani also said despite the progress they are making challenges still remains like high and unstable prices for the law materials, high tax just to mention a few.
Some of the things which they make are sliding gates, water tanks,, metal water tanks, trailers, steel windows and door frames.
Donz Engineering is located along the road at Kamba in Blantyre.
