A 25 year-old man in Chikwawa has been arrested for allegedly assaulting another man whom he snatched his wife.
Chikwawa police public relations officer, Foster Benjamin has identified the culprit as Mazunzo Thoni, who was arrested on Tuesday at the border in Gola village under Senior Chief Chapananga.
Benjamin said the accused clobbered 40-year-old Letisoni Jeke.
“Jeke is said to have tied a knot with a reputed kachasu brewer in the village. The marriage however got shaken after the wife began cheating on her husband.

It is reported that the unfaithful wife ditched her husband for her newly found love, a development that angered the owner of the woman.
One day, the rivals met at a bar in the village where they exchanged blows. In the middle of the fight, the suspect hit the other with quick successive blows, inflicting a deep cut above the victim’s eye.
Jeke was taken to the hospital following the assault and later police netted the suspected wife snatcher and charged him with unlawful wounding.
He will appear in court within a week.
Thoni hails from Chaola Village in the area of Senior Chief Chapananga in Chikwawa District.
