Commotion erupted at Mangochi Police Station this morning after a teargas canister accidentally exploded within the police building leaving a female officer unconscious.
In the pictures that have gone viral on the social media, a female police officer is seen lying flat on the ground while being treated by fellow officers.
According to information at hand, the canister also affected suspects at the police unit and have since been rushed to Mangochi District Hospital for treatment.
Police are yet to comment on the matter.
