Police in Mzimba have arrested a businessman for allegedly being found with three pistols without a valid license.
Northern Region Police Assistant Spokesperson Martin Bwanali confirmed of the arrest in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS) and identified the suspect Boyd Nyirongo.
According to Bwanali, the suspect was arrested on Saturday at his house after a tip from residents.
Nyirongo is said to be a frequent traveler to South Africa.
The suspect will appear in court soon to answer the charge of found in possession of offensive weapons.
