Man killed over witchcraft accusations in Nkhotakota

Police in Nkhotakota have launched a man-hunt for a 23-year-old suspect, Jonas M’bwana who is believed to have killed an elderly man.
M’bwana is suspected of killing 92-year-old Bernard Milius over witchcraft allegations.
Nkhotakota Police public relations officer William Kaponda said M’bwana is suspected to have committed the offence on Tuesday.
Kaponda added that apart from killing Millius, the suspect also set his house ablaze.
The matter was reported to police by one of the grandsons of the victim.
He added that postmortem conducted at Nkhotakota District Hospital revealed that the victim died of severe head injuries.
