Former president Joyce Banda and her party, People’s Party (PP) have withdrawn from the UTM-PP alliance citing UTM’s non-compliance with the terms of the agreement and the spirit of solidarity.
This has been disclosed in a statement signed by (PP) spokesperson Ackson Kalaile Banda made available to faceofmalawi reporter.
According to Banda, the agreement was that UTM would pick a running mate from PP.
