The choice of Ntcheu North East Parliamentarian Everton Chimulirenji as runningmate to President Peter Mutharika for the May 21 Tripartite Elections continues to shake the ruling Democratic Progressive Party.
Reports show that division are emerging in the party with formation of camps among members in its Lhomwe Belt stronghold.
Unconfirmed reports indicates that President Mutharika Calls emergency Cabinet meeting over runningmate Chimlirenji Controversy, the emergency cabinet meeting on Thursday is aimed at sorting out the controversy that has arisen with unanticipated pungency as a result of Mutharika’s recent choice of the little known Everton Chimlirenji as his runningmate ahead of the May 21 watershed elections.
