Aspirant Parliamentarian for United Transformation Movement (UTM) Mabuto Misi has said when ushered into power in the forthcoming tripartite elections he will bring more changes in the constituency like in health sector, educational standards will improve, Agriculture , Sports among others.

Misi said since the constituency voted Members of Parliament for many years there is no visible development saying almost all Parliamentarians who won the seat are not people from the area hence they are not developmental conscious.

Speaking in an interview Mabvuto Misi said he is regretted that despite that the constituency is surrounded by different Colleges and Universities such as BIU, The Polytechnic, College of Medicines, PACT, Accountancy Tuition College, MIJ students in these constituency are not being selected to these higher learning institution.

“We are lucky enough that we have a lot of Colleges and Universities around Blantyre City South constituency but the problem is our leaders who don’t put much effort on education,” he said.

Misi also said previously schools like Joyce Banda Foundation, Zingwangwa Secondary School, Stella Maris, Radson Secondary School, ST Pius used to send more students to this higher learning institution.

“He promises the voters that once voted into power i will advocate Agriculture sector through irrigation of maize’ tomato, vegetables and I will bring portable water by drilling more kiosks and empower the youth through vocational skills like Mechanics, Bricklaying, Auto electrician, Carpentry and joinery so that they should not just be looming in the streets to avoid chamba smoking, drug abuse and early marriages for girls.

He therefore urged the community to vote for him for tangible development.

In another related development Independent Aspirant councilor for Naotcha ward Ronald Nsomba has said people in the community has asked him to contest in order to change things like how authority are handling the issues of MASAF and Malata subsidy programmes.

He said most of the beneficiaries of these programmes are rich people not the needy ones and as it intended for. The authorities pocketed money for rich people to be given Malata subsidy leaving behind the beneficiaries.

“Once ushered into power all this malpractice will automatically stopped I therefore urge all people in the community to put me into power for more development.
