One person is reported dead after the wall of his house collapsed in Kamoto village in Neno following heavy rains in the district.
Neno District Hospital Clinic Officer Mashalas Zuze confirmed of the death and identified the deceased as Charles Mwalama.
According to Zuze, the deceased died because of internal breading.
So far, 6 people have been injured, and 740 houses have been destroyed.
The rains started on Monday and have affected the road network as many bridges and roads have been washed away.
