The producer and distributor of fertilizer in the country, Optichem (2000) has been affected heavily in 2018 by low prices for the produce such as maize because farmers failed to buy fertilizer.

Speaking in an interview, Company’s General Manager Bobby Singh said the production of fertilizer has been affected heavily and also power outage has affected the production plus drought in previous years.

However he was optimistic that next year businesses will be normal because of good rains which will help make farmers (customers) to harvest bumper yields.

“Despite those challenges i want to thank our trusted customers for being with us throughout the year and we promise to continue delivering high quality products to their satisfaction” he said.

Bobby Singh further said their main customers are Tobacco Industry, Tea Industry and Small Holder Famers across the country.

They import their raw materials from South Africa, Jordan, Morocco, and Germany just to mention a few.

The company also sponsors Golf annually as part of social responsibility.
