Suspected Democratic Progressive Party cadets pulled down Malawi Congress Party flags in Chikwawa and Nsanje as President Peter Mutharika visited people affected by heavy rains and subsequent floods in the two districts.

Member of Parliament for Nsanje Lalanje Constituency Lawrence Sitolo confirmed of the development in an interview with one of the local daily papers (Daily Times).
