Aspiring Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Member of Parliament for Lilongwe City Centre Constituency, Limbani Kalirani on Sunday asked Living Waters Churches to pray for President Professor Peter Mutharika and albinos in the country.
Kalirani, popularly known as Tay Grin made the call at Area 49 Living Waters Church zone’s prayers where he was invited as guest of honor.
“I asked the congregation to pray for President Peter Mutharika to continue having wisdom and continue leading the country to prosperity.
“Praying will help us to continue enjoying the peace we have and I reminded everyone that differences in political affiliation does not make us enemies. Our campaign should be issue-based because all we are striving for is to develop our country,” wrote Kalirani on his official facebook page.
He added: “We should also pray for people with albinism so that they are protected and I condemned the killings.”
The Nyau King also promised to launch a competition for choirs.
Meanwhile the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has officially launched the campaign period for the forthcoming May 21 polls.
