Mchinji Police Officer-in-Charge, Owen Maganga has confirmed with the press this afternoon.

He said reports claim that the leaders have been keeping the children whom some of them include young girls for over three weeks at the camp.

The children were brought from Mchinji and other districts across the country on the basis of “staying closer to God”, a situation which has forced the children to drop out of school.

Maganga said the police officers are still interrogating the religious leaders before charging them as well as demolishing the said camp.
