First Discount House (FDH) Money Bureau and Western union have signed an agreement to allow local Malawians to send money abroad instead of just receiving money.

The agreement came in following limitations that local Malawians working in the country face when it comes to sending money abroad.

FDH Money Bureau acting General Manager Daniel Pinto Khamula said Western Union introduced an outbound transactions that allow Malawians to send money abroad.

“Western Union has introduced an outbound transaction services enabling local Malawians to send money to their loved ones in the diaspora,” Khamula said

He further said that they took advantage of the Flames match on Friday to raise awareness.

He also said they run a 5 day radio campaign on radio 2 as one way of raising awareness of the service.
